When I connected with the Spanish world for the first time, learning as a college student part-time over the weekends, this was one of the first songs I heard.

I was definitely in my One Direction-esque boy band era [not that it didn’t last for an obnoxiously long time, but eh] and CNCO simply fit the bill for my Spanish music conquests.

A pop song with five boys serenading a girl with a DJ in the background? Haha, sign me up. I Googled CNCO after this song played on my shuffle Spanish Spotify playlist recently, and was sad to see them disbanded. Not sure what the members are upto now, but they did leave us with some bangers.

Hey DJ is a phenomenal piece – it also has a remix with Meghan Trainor and Sean Paul that I am not particularly fond of [as is usually the case with originals vs remixes], but do give it a try!
